At
last we are reading about a person known as a “nondescript” who was not a
Negro. I noticed that none of the people in the movie “Freaks” was a Negro so
obviously not all of the people in this trade were of that ethnicity. The
article speaks her as coming from Mexico and posits that she was a Digger
Indian. Did this group of aboriginals
really exist or, as with many of the other statements in her exhibition
pamphlet was this hype?
