I thought that the movie Freaks was a very interesting take on how "freaks" and disabled people are viewed. Many times, people make a spectacle of others who are disabled because they are different and as humans we are naturally curious. However, in the ending scene when the "freaks" are chasing after Hercules and Cleopatra, they are portrayed as scary and savage like which many people see them as til this day. With that said, I kind of like how dramatic that scene was because it should play such a sharp contrast to the loving "freaks" that were originally introduced in the story and which really exist in real life. I also think that it was very important how drastic the difference was between the "normal" people and the "freaks". This was important because without the definition of the "normal" then the freak wouldn't be easily identified as a different type of person.
